Don't forget to record your MCF112 & MCF114 with the county recorders office. An MCF112 is an FLPMA document and from what we have read and believe to be true, it must be recorded with your county.
Gold and silver. What can I add to this? You see the market and what it is doing. On 8/4/11 in morning trading hit $1,681.30. As we've talked before, we expected it to grow legs and run. It has! I think we can add another $700. to that over the next year. Based on the technical position of gold and economic data, gold will continue to move up, maybe not as rapidly as it has the past few weeks, but I think it will find a sticking point and creep up from there. I think we can safely say that gold is solidly above $1600. and short of some miracle economic turnaround, I think it is a good time to mine gold. Profits are higher than they have ever been. Read further down in the costs and principles of mining gold.

July 2011 News
As we roll through July, gold is solid in the $1,500. range. While July is normally a slump month for gold, we have seen serious issues in Europe along with various domestic budget issues affecting gold prices. Gold has climbed into the $1,570's. I expect gold to break the $1,650. mark before the end of the August. July 15th is the day the Dodd-Frank Act becomes active.
April News 2011
Looks like we have a new anchor point for gold at $1,500. It hasn't pulled back much and it looks like we are seeing stronger metal prices with silver climbing hard and copper staying firm on price. There are a few thing that I see are driving demand and price up for gold: 1. Weak dollar. 2. Housing prices down. 3. Inflation is on the rise. If you have noticed, more people are making note of the fact that there is limited gold and not enough gold to cover the stocks for physical possession. We expect gold to continue to trend up to......$2,000.ish by the end of the year. There are several things that will have to fall into place, or fall apart if you will. Oil prices are driving consumers to drive less. Oil will probably visit the $120's in the next month. Inflation in food prices has begun to rear its ugly head. Jobs will continue to be scarce.
January 2011
Happy New Year.......may it bring health and prosperity for you!
Well, gold has made its mark and held stable at $1,400./oz with little likelihood of it dropping much. China has renewed its interest in acquiring more gold, along with India's actual increase in gold acquisitions of gold for jewelry. As other countries position themselves in this trying global economy, there is still only one clear form of wealth........gold. The new year is likely to bring another shake up in the stock market as it is well above the 11,000 mark with little to support that number other than inflation. A lot of investors have sat on the sidelines and are starting to get anxious to put their money to work. Gold has been strong and steady for quite some time and the general opinion after viewing the charts leads me to the conclusion that it will stay that way for many years to come. What is your out look for 2011? As always, you can call us with any questions or mining needs you might have.

September 2010
Gold has moved to a new high into the $1280./oz range with strength. Gold futures are on the rise and the second week of September $1,285.20/oz for an intra day high displays the perception of gold. The typical trend of gold suggests that when the price goes up throughout the week, it will correct on Fridays. On September 17, 2010 it stayed strong indicating it has found a new bottom at $1,275+. As the new week starts, it has held in that new range. We are optimistic that it will maintain its stability and continue to inch up. We expected resistance at $1,280. however it appears to be solid and its move suggests $1300. is not an unreasonable expectation by the end of October. If gold rallies to $1,500./oz in October, we may see a brief bubble and drop back to the $1,250-$1,270. range on profit taking.

Comex gold futures Tuesday afternoon hit a new all-time record high of $1,232.50 an ounce. The previous record high of $1,227.50, basis nearby futures, was set in December of 2009. Gold continues to benefit from safe-haven buying interest amid the European Union's sovereign debt crisis, and on building bullish technical momentum. With gold prices now in uncharted territory, traders should look for higher volatility both on the upside and on the downside, but with a continued upside bias. |
January 2010
The outlook for gold prices are excellent. We do not see it going below $1,080./oz this year. I've heard projections of $3,000.+/oz. I think realistically it will peak below $1,400. unless there is some international crisis. Despite media manipulation, the economy is NOT in recovery. Gold prices will continue to climb throughout the year as mines get back into production. Many realize that the "real reserve futures" of gold look dismal. There is only a limited amount of gold on the earth. The larger companies are looking for new deposits as their current projects are limited. A large number of non-mining related companies are looking at diversifying into gold mining as a great new income for them. As we have discussed before, it takes about $150. to recover one ounce of gold. This is appealing on many levels. With gold at $1,130./oz the profit margin works. Mining is a sound industry that supports our economy and national wealth.
December 2009 Current News
Gold is still solidly on the move. As the global demand from governments and investors increases, gold is going sky high. China has said it intends to acquire 10 tons over the next 10 years. Oddly, the U.S. has said little concerning the price of gold or its intention to build its reserve, for fear that it might cause a mass exodus from the U.S. dollar.
02DEC09 $1,217.90
01DEC09 $1,202.50
It costs about $150. to placer mine an ounce of gold. This makes for a comfortable return for almost any businessman. With minimal investment, you can turn a hobby into a business and as gold prices go higher, so do the returns on investment. Gold is exciting to find. There are no two pieces that are identical. There are great opportunities to diversify into mining right now.

Golds got legs. We all knew it was coming and most took the wait and see attitude. It's here. It's now. There is no better time to get involved in mining as a hobby or a profession. Mark my words. Gold will move higher and become in even greater demand. If you follow the gold blogs or the editorials on Kitco, you know where it's going. The prices are real. It now cost almost $1,200. to buy an ounce of gold. When it is put that way, you realize there is more to it than just a "run" on metals. The economy is in shambles and people are looking to the most logical safe haven.........GOLD. In the following charts, you see the trend has been steady and strong. More and more countries are demanding physical possession of the gold they purchase in order to solidify the image of their currency. Again, this is the time to make a move and step into a solid future.

In the news, we expect to see gold solid above $900. from here on out. Currently, it's at about the $970./oz mark. With September expected to be a volatile month, we expect to see the cornerstone commodities to set the pace for the rest of the market. Gold and oil have remained solid and I expect spikes in both in the coming months. If you haven't noticed, every vendor, jeweler, pawn shop, etc, has signs that they are buying gold. There is a global frenzy going on that is driving countries to buy hard assets and get rid of the American dollar, with China being the biggest one. In my forecast of the gold mining industry, companies will continue to "enjoy" a market price that leads to good profits. According to the ADDMR, it costs less than $150./oz to placer mine an ounce of gold. At the market price of $970./oz, that leaves $820./oz profit. With heavy equipment prices down due to the housing slump, it makes it the perfect time to put together a mining operation.
July 2009 News
It appears that BLM has raised the maintenance fee to $140. per claim, per year for the September 1, 2009 maintenance fee schedule.
January 2009
News Flash! 1/23/09 Gold broke the $900./oz mark on 1/23/09 as the stock market closed, it rallied all day, finally closing at $900. What does this mean for you? It shows a weakening of the dollar and a general lack of confidence in the Presidents economic recover package. The second wave of Bank stocks are taking a plunge, with some losing as much as 10% of their value on the 23rd alone. Since the first of the year(23 days), the stock market has lost 7.7% of its value, and many have a dismal view of where it is heading. Even the strong companies with good balance sheets are taking a hit on their stocks. By following the global market price of gold, we can see more clearly where the American economy is heading. In the big picture, America will suffer the least, even though there are layoffs, foreclosures, and families nest egg of stocks evaporates. For some emerging workforce countries, the economic earthquake in the U.S. will take them back to the stone age.
I hope you've had a great Christmas and I hope all your New Year's wishes come true. I just want to thank Michael Clark from Bingham Equipment for demonstrating the compact tractor/backhoe to a number of our customers interested up adding to their mining tools. He took the time to show how easy the controls work and let each person have a chance to dig with it.

This months forecast includes a strong chance of instability in the markets. Gold is solid at $800.+ and is expected to climb. Many people are asking where the safe investments are today, after seeing the giants in banking, insurance, manufacturing, and the automaker at the mercy of bailouts. Gold remains a great shelter in times of trouble. While recreational prospecting probably wont make you rich, it's a great skill to learn. You'll enjoy the hunt and get to enjoy beautiful Arizona. There's always someone around looking to partner up or swap stories. As we see more appointment to the President-elects staff, we will draft some comments for the February blog.

This gold chart reflects the period in time that the USA went into a phase of Durable goods trade with ASIA , that has now Peaked , all because of a way that Reagan realized that by trading with these cheaper labor Pools , we could hide our inflation woes , because of the lower valued currencies markets at play here in these undeveloped Countries
.
Foreign Policy experts agreed with Economists , that long term participation in this manner would result in a more diverse and developed world ending in a better peace process , all of which has come to the point of accomplishment , but at this same time , all these developed countries people still want to continue to prosper , and this will cause massive spikes in Inflation , " Unless we harness inflation and use it as a tool of Growth " because there are no more cheaper labor pools in the world left to go exploit to dissolve our world inflation into ,any more , like Reagan did in the beginning of the last Durable Goods Bull market rally .

With the stock markets rockin' GOLD comes knockin'
Up, Down, Up, Down.....is the best way to describe the financial markets, and none of it's good. Seems like it's hit bottom, maybe. Dow is +900 today(10/28/08). One thing is for sure, gold remain strong and steady in every sense of the industry. Given the choice on whether you take 2 shares of Google stock or an ounce of gold, I think most people would go for the gold. Why? It's the primary foundational measure of trade, practically since the beginning of time. It's man's instinct to go back to the rudimentary basics in times of crisis. Is the crisis over........NO. Many say it has just begun. Enough on the global economy, let's address another crisis on the horizon. Barak Obama has supported the Democrats agenda to put a moratorium on new mining claims in an effort to block coal and oil mining in the United States. This will affect copper and you guessed it, GOLD. This will affect recreational prospectors like you and me. Barak Obama supports a royalty tax on gold taken from public lands. We can't afford this kind of leadership in the United States of America. Remember that on Election Day, Nov. 4th.
I have heard rumors that in the next 5 years, expect to see gold running up to the $5,000./oz range and mining claims starting at $40,000. for a 40 acre of average ground. Some of that is hard to swallow, but what if it is true? How will you prepare for that?
I've had a number of people lately that want to take their hobby up a notch and get a backhoe to help move more dirt. As days go by, that ol' #2 shovel has done its fair share of work, and I'm sure you know what I mean. What I have been recommending lately is the Kubota BX24 loader/ backhoe. For about $18,250. you can get a BX24 tractor loader/backhoe and a trailer to haul it. They are reasonable, and have a lot of uses when they aren't being used for mining. When you're mining, you can use the backhoe and loader. When it's at home, use the optional mower, bushhog, or any number of other attachments. They are light enough that they can be trailered by and average size SUV or pickup truck. Kubota usually has some good financing programs too so it's more affordable. If you're interested in purchasing one, contact Michael Clark in Sales At Bingham Equipment, located in Buckeye, Arizona. Their number is 623-853-1000.
BX24 $17,000. with a backhoe and loader, plus $1250. for a trailer

You'll be surprised how easy they are to operate!
Naturally, when you use earthmoving equipment on a Federal Mining Claim, a Notice of Intent is required. Call and we can help draft one for you!
October 2008 News
Update: Oct 8, 2008 Despite the coordinated global rate cut, the markets continue to spiral out of control. Where's your money at? If you've got money in the markets, I'm sure you're looking for something solid. Over the years, mining claims tend to hold their value because they have natural intrinsic worth.....GOLD. The gold in the ground is called reserves. The value of you claim is based on the value of its reserves. In the industry(pre-2007), it used to be that mining companies would pay $1. per/oz. in the ground. Lately, I've seen mines selling for $2.5-$10./oz of reserve. You'll notice there's a competition with mining companies rallying for who's got the largest reserve. The big dog has the bragging rights. Some of the benefits of owning mining claims include: Mining it yourself for it's values. Leasing it to a mining company with residual royalties. Developing the mine through exploration and remarket it at a profit. That is some food for thought. Where are your investments?
WOW! The markets are going crazy. Gold is still holding well above $800. When the markets drop, everyone rushes to gold. The market took a 777 point drop on Sept 29th, 2008. The next day it rebounded some. Oil is fluttering a bit, but pretty much holding steady. If you follow this page long enough, you'll see a trend. Gold is strong and is the commodity that everything is weighed against. It's the security blanket for the stock market. The Congress shot down a $700 billion dollar bailout of the banks. Probably for good reason. Oct 1st the Senate passed the bailout bill. With the disruption in the economy, expect to see a lot of companies struggle and eventually fall if they can't restructure in time to save themselves. Let's move on to a happier note. There were some pretty good monsoons that dropped a lot of rain quickly here. You many see new or more well developed drainages on your claim. Take a good look. This is why we recommend you plot out, make maps, and take pictures so you can see how things change from season to season. That is a part of the fun in hunting gold. I look forward to seeing you all out on the claims!

Maintenance fees are due in a few days!!! The September update comes early. With all the exciting things going on, I'd rather be early than late. Augusts gold prices drew a high in the $900's and a low of $784.75, in part from price manipulation. Most speculators feel this low of $784. is the bottom and from here it will continue steadily higher. The thing most people forget is one year ago it was at $650. and Sept '05 it was at $450.. The future is bright for gold. It will balance the scales of the economy and with banks falling apart from writing bad loans, we expect gold to be strong and steady for a long time to come. If you noticed a change in the web site, we felt it would help people find the information they need quicker. On another note, University of Maryland Dept. of Geology added content from our site to their lesson plan.

I've got a few links to share with you this month.

Maintenance fees due to the BLM by Sept.1, 2008. Make sure you get them paid on time. Oil Surges, mining investments are on the rise. This year is going to be an interesting one with an unstable economy and a presidential election.
June 2008 News
It is sure to be an interesting year with crude breaking $140./barrel, average gas prices above $4.00/gal, and inflation making its biggest jump in 6 months. The bottom fell out of the mortgage industry. Gold has had heavy price fluctuations with profit taking and the Fed trying to curb inflation by repeatedly dropping the rate. With the expectation of a ground war in Iran this fall, the US economy will continue to be explosive and unstable. Experts have projected gold prices to climb to $1,500./oz by the end of the year and possible $5,000./oz in the next 5 years. Some sites previously overlooked because of the cost of mining gold from the ground are being developed into profitable small mines. Investors are looking for stable investments and investments in mining are on the rise. Get informed, get involved with your claim. Now is the time to get going and start putting away your surplus gold so you're prepared when gold makes its next record mark.
One good place to keep informed is the ICMJ's Prospecting and Mining Journal

Rain, rain, and more rain..... The Weaver Mountains have seen a pretty good amount of rain this year already. It seems every two weeks we are getting an inch or two of rain. Temps have been slightly cooler. Prospecting is in full swing. Price of gold is holding steadily above the $900./oz mark, and at one point hit $935. Interests in mining has again surged.

A lot has been happening. With the unstable dollar on the global market, oil at $100/barrel, upcoming elections, and gold prices surging well into the $860./oz, it scaring a lot of people in the stock markets. Most forecasts predicted gold would, and will continue to go up. With exploration and mining back in full swing, you start to see the mineral rich areas come alive. One friend spotted an exploration helicopter flying over some claims we own. Here's a website of the type of exploration I'm talking about.

http://www.geotechairborne.com/
One of my friends is using this trommel, which is pretty reasonably priced. I thought I'd pass it along. It is a self contained recirculating trommel that is pretty reasonably priced. The only two changes I'd make when ordering one would be the larger tires, and have a Hungarian style riffle in the sluice.

On a side note, our customers have some of the best gold mining ground around, and there are only so many good places to dig. If you're one of our customers, and have been thinking about selling or trading up a claim, drop an email to us or call. Good claims are in short supply.
Local conditions: steady rain Jan 6-7 totaling about 2"
December 2007 News
RAIN!!! That's something you don't see here often!. Friday 11/30/07 and Saturday 12/01/07 it rained in the Rich Hill / Weaver Mountains area dropping about 3" of nice steady rain. All of the creeks flowed, none real heavy. We were out in it checking boulder activity. It doesn't appear that it was sudden enough to move boulders. It did however brighten things up, washing the dust off the desert plants exposing vibrant colors.
On a more serious note, the stock market has been in trouble, the value of the dollar declining, and gold staying steady and strong. Mineral exploration is again on the rise like it was in the 1980's. With recession possible, diversity in the financial markets always draws people to precious metals. With hobby mining and small scale mining take a sharp rise, quality claims are becoming harder to get.
Remember the key to mining:
"You've got to have a claim that has good gold on it or the rest of prospecting is futile."

Water on the Old Stage Road Claim Dec. 1, 2007
November News
Here's an article from a guy that thinks gold will hit $3,000.oz.
There is a lot to cover since last month. First, our prediction that gold spot would go over $800./oz did come true. We should also see crude oil hit $100./barrel soon. With the slide in the value of the dollar, invest wisely now. The market has taken a few plunges that have left investors holding their breath like a splash of cold water. Most of our casual prospector claims have quickly sold. That has left us with a number of medium scale mining operations in groups. We are actively contacting our clients to see what they have to sell. The small-medium scale mines are making the first moves in operations. Those that act early position themselves better to stockpile so when gold hits the next peak, they can cash in. If you're interested in learning how to start a small, medium, or large scale mine, contact us.
October 2007 News
Gold prices are taking some remarkable jumps as we expected with the value of the American dollar wavering and crude oil prices hitting all time highs of $84. a barrel. As gold continues to climb, expect to see good claims being absorbed by small and medium size mining companies. It's the perfect time for investors to get their money into solid investments in companies holding good claims with good reserves. Gold has broke the $750.oz this month we expect it to take a jump over the $800. mark. We've seen small investor groups pooling resources to start mining companies, who will likely share in the profits of the expanding gold market. With the slow down in new home construction, new and used heavy equipment is readily available at a reasonable prices.
September 2007 News
Gold has broke the $700. an ounce mark. This is a significant landmark indicating how the U.S. and global economy and stability is. Expect to see it flop around the $700. mark for a few months, then steadily go up again. Mining companies are positioning themselves for production. A lot of closed mines are in the process of mining again. There have been hundreds of claims activated in the last few months. It is definitely a sign of the times.

Other Important Information
When buying an unpatented claim, there are a few easy steps to protect yourself from scams. To verify the seller of the claims owns the claim you are wanting to buy, click here and verify it through the Bureau of Land Management
Enter the legal description of the claim and it will search records and give you the results. This system is at least 3 weeks behind most of the time. Another factor to consider is, a person has 90 days in Arizona, from the date the claim is "located" to record it with the BLM and county recorder. It must be staked within 90 days of being located or it is not valid. BLM frowns on people who "paper claim", meaning they file a bunch of location notices on the same day without actually making a discovery, or staking the claim.
Know the difference between an unpatented and patented claim. Basically, an unpatented claim is the conveyance of the mineral rights only. A patented or perfected claim is surface and mineral rights. know which you're buying. Most of the time, unpatented is adequate and less expensive than patented. An example would be that in Stanton/Wickenburg Arizona, a 40 acre unpatented mining claim would average $3,000., but a patented 40 acres would average somewhere around $400,000.-$800,000. easily. If the government ever lifts the moratorium on patenting, you could be the first in line to patent your claim. I'm sure real estate investors will flock to the desert to do that also.
--------------------------
Make sure you maintain your corner posts so people know it is an active claim. Post signs if you feel it necessary. If your claim is in a high traffic area, I'd definitely post signs.
Fill all of your holes when you're done digging.
Respect other peoples claims, mineral trespassing is a crime in Arizona
ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES 13-1504
A. A person commits criminal trespass in the first degree by knowingly:
4. Entering unlawfully on real property that is subject to a valid mineral claim or lease with the intent to hold, work, take or explore for minerals on the claim or lease.
