2010 New Years Day Nugget     

Rich Hill gives up another one of its beautiful nuggets

It's not the biggest I've found, but when it happens on a memorable day it is that much better.  We decided to take a trip out to the mining claim and spend a few hours enjoying a beautiful 60 degree Arizona winter day.  We started digging down to bedrock in a spot adjacent to where we've been processing dirt.  Whoop.........whoop.  Nugget.  It weighed in at 20.5g, so just about 2/3oz total weight.  It's a beautiful quartz/gold specimen.  It must have been because I was wearing my..........lucky top hat.  Happy New Years.
