Located directly off of Scenic Loop Road, access doesn't get any better than this! Pickaxe has two long washes running NW/SE through it. There is also a small wash that runs along the road as well. This is a perfect claim for those looking for fairly easy access along with the quiet serenity of the desert. Trumpets plants (a great indicator of mineral rich soil) are scattered throughout the claim along with many different rock specimens like quartz, red jasper, olivine, etc. A short cattle fence runs North-South though the claim just West of the road, so access is mostly unobstructed. There are several high spots in the fence that are easy to slip under to access the rest of the washes. There are several places to park within the claim boundaries along Scenic Loop Road. With 2WD access and just steps from the main wash, access is a breeze!
