Located between Congress and Stanton, Arizona
Located just off Stanton Road, this claim has pretty easy access. From Route 89 in Congress, go about 1 mile East on Stanton Road, then take the State Land trail to the main trail and take a left. Follow to the claim (see maps below). The NW Corner of Sandstorm is next to the road on the right side. There is another claim adjacent to Sandstorm, so please be respectful of claim boundaries.

Located in the alluvial fan of the Weaver Mountains, this claim has very nice washes and places to prospect in a unique landscape. There are black sands in most of the washes and areas of exposed bedrock. It has gold bearing quartz on the claim which makes the potential for specimens great. It's a heck of a claim and a great location to camp too. Two-wheel drive access and easy walking. There's also a well-worn cow path that runs diagonally through the claim that makes for a nice route down towards the other washes on the East and Southeast parts of Sandstorm. Drywashing, recirculating sluice, and metal detecting are all methods I'd use for gold recovery here. This is a great rock hounding spot as well.
